Since bursting onto the music stage for the first time less than five years ago, Pat Mac has made many friends across a wide range of music genres. With initial roots in country ballads Pat found himself making finals in NZCMA competitions early on in his singing career. But it is his ability to compose beautiful song lyrics with catchy, flowing melodies that brought his real talents to the fore.
Over the last three years Pat has had five original songs make the ‘Entertainer of the Year’ national awards. His song ‘Let the Cowboy Take His Time’ won the title in October 2009. Pat’s voice and the song’s storyline grabbed the attention of the large audience and made him a very popular winner. Since that time Pat has been busy recording his debut album and performing either solo with guitar or with his band of young and talented musicians. Pat’s original songs and the covers he does fit snugly into the ‘easy-listening / dance’ bracket – great for party’s, RSA’s, clubs, birthdays, markets, weddings, and other occasions where good music is required.
